About
Banklynx was established to solve a seemingly simple problem. Why is it so difficult to track bill payments when everything is so easily available online? The difficulty of course comes about because not everything is stored in a single place and requires logging onto multiple websites, searching emails or ensuring you keep bills that have been physically posted to you. With this in mind, BankLynx set about constructing the solution.
That solution was to establish a service that allows you to view and store all of your bills in the same place as well as being able to pay those bills at the appropriate time. With the improvements in online technology and the significant use of online banking by New Zealanders in recent time, the idea to provide this service from with the banking system was born. Allowing bill payers to view and pay their bills from within online banking platforms also solved one other obvious problem and that was, the natural inclination to want to know how much money you had available before you proceeded to pay those bills.
To bring this great idea to life we put in place a great team, with a wealth of experience in building and delivering software and payment solutions both domestically and internationally.
Today BankLynx offers fast, secure and convenient bill payments through New Zealand’s leading financial institutions including the major banks. That means most New Zealanders can now enjoy the convenience of paying their bills with BankLynx.

Daniel Karehana
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER / EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Daniel Karehana is the CEO and co-founder of BankLynx. He is a qualified chartered accountant with over 20 years of experience specialising in tax and has held various senior roles with some of New Zealand’s largest financial intuitions including Sovereign, ASB and AMP. He also co-founded one of New Zealand’s largest tax payment platforms Electronic Tax Exchange, which has handled close to $5 Billion in tax payments since its inception in 2007. His strong background in payments led him to the vision that is BankLynx.
Patrick Moore
CHIEF PLATFORM OFFICER
Patrick has over 20 years of experience in IT and custom software development and is responsible for ensuring BankLynx’s systems and services meet the highest standards. He manages all aspects of production operations and customer support. He is also founder and owner of Endev Software Development and previous roles include managing development teams at Affinity Solutions and MYOB Exonet.
Tielman Esterhuizen
CHIEF PRODUCT OFFICER
Tielman is responsible for the engineering and product management of BankLynx’s core portfolio. Tielman has over 20 years of experience in hi-tech product management, marketing and development. He has consulted and held senior positions at a number of high profile companies, such as IBM, Telstra, NBN, Alcatel Lucent, and Downer EDI. Most recently he was the Worldwide Sales Leader and General Manager for DeployPartners, an international firm that assists Telco’s and Enterprises in making the most of their people, processes and IT assets.
